Victoria Barracks, Queens's Road, Ballater, Royal Deeside, Scotland, UK. The Barracks is the home of The Royal Guard when HM Queen Elizabeth II is in residence at Balmoral Castle for 3 months each summer. If a soldier has to be housed in barracks these are probably some of the nicest to be found. Originally built mid 1800's when Queen Victoria and Prince Albert first bought the Castle. Photo requested from Deeside Images. |
